one of the most loving and compassionate things we can do for ourselves is to
stop exposing ourselves unnecessarily to people, places, and things that do not
honour our tender hearts.
listen closely your heart knows what doesn’t take care of you. It’s those things
that don’t feel good. Those things that leave you feeling contracted instead of
expanded. It’s the things that trigger closure or clamping down in you.
the person you can’t quite speak your truth around because it doesn’t feel
safe. It’s that place you go that requires the armoring of your heart to push
through. It’s that thing you do that’s treason to your innermost tenderness,
regardless of how mild or trivial it may seem to the mind.
heart is a wise creature. She whispers her secrets to you often through your
body that responds with her own wisdom: a tightening of the stomach, a
shortness of breath, or sunken shoulders.
don’t take care of your heart ultimately no one else will.
exposing yourself unnecessarily to things that don’t feel good and that aren’t
loving for you. You know what those things are and they aren’t worth it.
